The Operations sector at Amazon is the backbone of our business, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled and dispatched promptly. As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting excellence in safety, quality, and productivity throughout our facilities.
In this role, you will oversee a team of Area Managers, manage shift operations, evaluate performance metrics, collaborate with various support teams, and implement strategies to boost operational efficiency. Your daily responsibilities will also include engaging in operational tasks, fostering innovation, and mentoring your team towards achieving success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Area Managers
- Direct operational teams, resolve issues, and enhance site performance
- Assess shift performance against business goals
- Work in conjunction with support teams such as HR, Finance, and Health & Safety
- Create and execute initiatives to improve operational performance
A Day in the Life:
Your typical day as an Operations Manager will involve leading shifts, analyzing performance metrics, preparing for fluctuations in demand, and supporting the growth of your team. You will serve as a crucial link between various business functions and contribute to site innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Proven experience in managing teams
- Proficiency in the local language
- Ability to leverage data for informed decision-making
- Background in production and supply chain management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
- Previous experience in logistics operations
- Proficiency in MS Office software
