Category Manager for Battery and Electronics with E-Commerce Focus

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager/Product Manager to join our team at subtel GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the sales growth of our battery and electronics product category across our webshops and on Amazon.
Key Responsibilities- Category Management: Analyze sales and product trends, competition, and e-commerce customer demand to develop and maintain pricing strategies for products within our target markets.
- Product Development: Scour the internet for new online marketplaces, attend trade fairs, and work with existing suppliers to develop products that meet our customers' needs.
- Supply Chain Management: Work with our purchasing team to source suitable products that fulfill the niches you have identified through your research.
- Brand Management: Provide clear direction to the content, graphic design, and photography departments to ensure that item descriptions, packaging, and instruction manuals properly reflect the product and our brand.
- Performance Management: Responsibility for the sales and profitability of your product categories.
- Planning and Forecasting: Create regular, detailed plans and forecasts for your category.
- Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including purchasing, quality management, graphics, content, and marketing departments, to implement your category strategies across the whole organization.
- A relevant university degree or comparable training.
- At least two years of professional experience in category management, product management, or purchasing, ideally in an e-commerce environment.
- Expertise, experience, and a personal interest in electronic products, preferably as a product or category manager.
- Advanced written and spoken English.
- You think analytically and have strong problem-solving skills.
- You have a high sense of responsibility and project management skills.
