Asset Management Specialist

Objective: Oversees the management of property control initiatives to guarantee ongoing accountability of organizational and governmental asset records in compliance with relevant regulations and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute comprehensive inventories of sensitive and cyclical assets, including Change-of-Hand-Receipt and Annual Property Book Hand Receipt audits. Manage the processing of Administrative Adjustment Reports, Lateral Transfers, Temporary Hand-Receipts, and Discrepancy Reports related to property management. Maintain and update transactions in an automated asset management system for tracking organizational and company-owned supplies and equipment. Compile and submit data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Property Book Officer or Logistics Manager. Schedule and conduct preventive and organizational maintenance on government-furnished assets using relevant support documentation. Order, receive, store, inspect, load/unload, and issue materials and equipment to facilitate daily operations. Assist in maintaining accountability records for major end-items, assessing the condition of materials and equipment in collaboration with Quality Control. Coordinate disposal processes as necessary. Ensure accountability of government property assigned to the department in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. Identify and procure standard and non-standard equipment through military and civilian supply channels. Organize and maintain Property Book files in line with established records management systems. Develop and manage primary and sub-hand receipts as required. Prepare and process reports related to property loss and charges for lost, destroyed, or damaged equipment. Aid in resolving inventory discrepancies and system-related issues. Generate reports as requested. Adhere to safety protocols and support organizational safety policies and procedures. Comply with quality management system policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to the Command Supply Discipline Program as necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of experience in property inventory or accountability is essential. Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation is necessary. Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications and vice versa. Experience with Material Handling Equipment is preferred. A background in 92Y MOS is advantageous. Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary credentials. A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained.

Specialized Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related applications is required. Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and planning capabilities are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must meet all security requirements for base access.

Physical Requirements:

Capability to perform job functions effectively during a 48-hour work week. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. intermittently. Must be able to work in challenging environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.

Work Environment:

Must be prepared for extended hours and exposure to various weather conditions. May be required to participate in missions on short notice.
