Job Overview:

We are in search of a Lead Technician for Facility Maintenance and Operations to become a vital part of our team at the Road Transit Hub in Nuremberg. In this capacity, you will oversee a group of technicians responsible for the upkeep and servicing of an automated package handling system along with the technical apparatus of the facility. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering technical guidance to the team, ensuring objectives are achieved
  • Developing shift schedules
  • Organizing and implementing preventive maintenance plans
  • Coordinating with vendors for maintenance services
  • Analyzing equipment malfunctions to guarantee system reliability
  • Serving as a local liaison for equipment modification and replacement initiatives

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certified Mechatronics Technician with a background in logistics or facility management
  • At least 4 years of pertinent industry experience
  • Proficient in managing service level agreements and external service providers
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Knowledgeable in maintenance protocols and safety standards
  • Availability to work in shifts and be on call

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiarity with automation technologies such as Siemens S7, Profibus, Profinet
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
