Mechanical Design Team Leader

As the Director of Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d), you will spearhead a team dedicated to the mechanical design of STABL hardware, encompassing everything from intricate plastic components to large-scale container solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a secure and functional environment for our innovative STABL inverter technology, involving 3D-printed parts, metal fabrication, sheet metal design, and comprehensive cabling systems, along with their associated schematics. The primary CAD software utilized will be SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the recruitment and development of a skilled team of Mechanical Engineers.
  • Produce technical drawings and schematics derived from 3D-CAD models.
  • Oversee cable routing and integration within mechanical frameworks.
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems, emphasizing sheet metal applications.
  • Innovate packaging solutions for diverse systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protective measures.
  • Draft detailed assembly instructions and guidelines to facilitate accurate and efficient assembly processes.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical components and systems to confirm adherence to design specifications and performance benchmarks.
  • Coordinate and manage all mechanical engineering initiatives at STABL.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Experience in cable management and routing within mechanical designs.
  • A solid understanding of thermal management, structural analysis, and materials science.
  • Expertise in Sheet Metal Design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to battery storage systems is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English and German.
