Position Overview

At Workday GmbH, our Account Executives are vital contributors to our Field Sales division.

The Customer Base sales team leverages their extensive expertise and consultative selling techniques to initiate and facilitate the sales of Workday Solutions within our established clientele.

This dedicated team of professionals plays a crucial role in generating additional business within strategic named accounts.

As a cohesive unit, we emphasize the importance of collaborating with our clients to design relevant solutions that provide enduring value. Our goal is to ensure that our customers experience satisfaction from the outset and continue to do so over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with current customers, focusing on upselling through effective deal management.
  • Conduct account planning for designated accounts, aligning with pre-sales and other resources to ensure strategic coherence.
  • Drive strategic add-on and renewal business of Workday solutions within Large Enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Workday's internal teams, including pre-sales, digital, value & bid management, marketing, technical, and sales support.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Approximately 8+ years of experience in selling SaaS/Cloud-based solutions to C-level executives from a field sales perspective.
  • Proven experience in negotiating deals with various C-Suite Executives to successfully close opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with existing customers for additional or incremental business.
  • Experience in formulating long-term account strategies with current clients.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing extended deal cycles exceeding 6 months, involving substantial deal sizes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the strategic competitive landscape of the industry, staying informed about trends and customer needs to effectively position Workday solutions within accounts.
  • Experience in leveraging and collaborating with internal team members on account strategies.
  • Familiarity with ERP, HCM, Financial, Planning, or Analytics solutions.
