Product Planning Manager

ROLE SUMMARY
This role is responsible for supporting the development of strong product assortments and access for the Global Retail channel. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of the adidas Group Retail strategy across all relevant markets, while also consulting with Market Retail organizations. Additionally, they will provide input to key projects and initiatives at HQ level, and support Market Retail organizations in optimizing pre-seasonal plans to meet evolving demand signals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development of overall product merchandising strategies for the retail channel at a global level.
- Collaborate with the global retail team to ensure strong product assortment/access for both CS and end-to-end key account interaction models.
- Work with eCom to ensure aligned approaches to product ranges, access, and launch plans.
- Assist in interactions with markets and global BUs to drive consistent and strong product presence in retail stores across all markets.
- Provide input and participate in conversations with functional teams to influence and develop complete storytelling in retail stores aligning with product ranges.
- Build an active network and support the Global Sales Team for commercial product buy-related topics and projects.
- Assist in assigned projects in the Retail context.
- Actively contribute to collating regular feedback from markets on commercial opportunities and brand presence in terms of product-related areas, including competitor activity, and prepare comprehensive reports for the Product Merchandising team.
- Provide input to the design of and implement key merchandising reports that help evaluate business goals with global x-functional teams.
- Support a culture of sharing and adopting best practices regarding commercial product buys within the Global Sales Team and all interfacing teams as well as with the Markets.
- Contribute to gathering best business practices related to product merchandising commercial success across Markets and turn them into industry-leading tools, working closely with the Markets and the Global Sales Teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced skills in MS Office.
- Fluent in English.
- Additional language is an advantage.
- Good understanding of Retail Management systems.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Structured, organized, and process-oriented.
- Attention to detail, as errors in analysis will have a crucial impact on business.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years Merchandising Experience.
