Job Title: Aeronautic Qualification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Aeronautic Qualification Engineer to join our team at Aerostack GmbH, a Joint Venture between Airbus and an automotive company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the flight worthiness of our fuel cell stacks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with Airbus safety and airworthiness teams, as well as certification authorities, to create a certification baseline for fuel cell technology.
  • Define Means-of-Compliances for qualification-related requirements in line with Airbus.
  • Lead qualification-related activities for safety of flight and serial applications, ensuring the implementation of Means of Compliance within overall V&V activities.
  • Facilitate the Statement of Conformity in cooperation with Airbus.
  • Ensure compliance to airworthiness regulations and Airbus qualification requirements (DO160, ASR, ABD0100, etc.) in close exchange with responsible Airbus system design engineers.
  • Break down regulations into requirements at stack level.
  • Define Means of Validation & Verification based on qualification requirements defined from Airbus.
  • Check validity of compliance statements and demonstrations.
  • Ensure compliance of used tools & processes.
  • Ensure documentation and archiving.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or similar domain.
  • More than 3 years of experience in System Design & Development in accordance with qualification requirements.
  • More than 3 years of experience in V&V, qualification, and certification activities.
  • Familiarity with process & tools for requirements management (e.g., DOORS).
  • Fluent English language skills, German & French are a benefit.
  • Result-oriented mindset and ambition for simplicity.
