Key ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
- Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, beer, cocktails, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, bar, and dining areas, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
- Payment Handling: Process payments from customers using the provided payment methods - cash and digital. Manage the cash draws.
- Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods, to assist customers with their selections.
- Upselling: Proactively suggest additional items and upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and alcohol service laws to ensure a safe and legal environment for patrons and staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Strong Multitasking Abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to Work Efficiently in a Fast-Paced Environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to Work Varied Shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of Coffee Brewing Techniques, Beer Varieties, and Cocktail Mixing is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is desirable but not essential. Key qualifications and features of the role include:
- 1 Year Experience in a Similar Position
- Experience in Either Bar Service/Cocktails or Café/Barista Service
- Food Handling Experience
- Must be of Legal Age to Serve Alcohol in the Respective Jurisdiction
- A Passion for Providing Excellent Customer Service and Creating Memorable Experiences for Guests
- Ability to Work Effectively Both Independently and as Part of a Team
- Positive Attitude and Willingness to Learn and Grow within the Role and the Organisation
