Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at I. K. Hofmann GmbH in Berlin. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely placement and delivery of purchase orders according to contractual requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Monitor progress reports, delivery schedules, and production plans from suppliers
  • Support the Engineering and Quality departments in the release of documentation and manufacturing clearances
  • Conduct supplier visits and production inspections to verify manufacturing status
  • Identify risks and bottlenecks, and develop solutions to ensure on-time delivery
  • Record goods receipts in the SAP system and ensure accurate data for on-time delivery
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance to the Sourcing team and Commodity Leaders
Your Qualifications:
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, managing your own scope and suppliers
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP ERP
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips to supplier locations
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
