Financial Controller for Benelux Region

Finance > Northern and Central Europe > Financial Management
As a Financial Controller (m/f/d), you will be an integral part of the Financial Controlling team within the Northern and Central Europe (NCE) region. You will work closely with various finance teams across the NCE region, as well as with the Group Finance function based in Copenhagen and the Shared Service Center in Manila.
This department is responsible for monthly IFRS reporting and meeting local statutory reporting obligations. In your role as Financial Controller (m/f/d) for the Benelux region, your primary duties will include financial oversight and accounting for entities in this area.
Key Responsibilities
General financial controller duties encompass In-depth local financial expertise specific to the Benelux Region Efficient management of the closing process and timely submission of monthly and annual financial reports Oversight of the Balance Sheet, addressing issues, and supporting audit inquiries Ensure compliance with Group financial processes, rules, policies, and Vestas's guidelines Additional specialized responsibilities include: Cultivating relationships with external advisors Leading a group of stakeholders from interconnected finance teams to enhance local compliance and drive improvement initiatives across these countriesRequired Qualifications
Relevant educational background, likely in Finance, Controlling, or a related field, combined with professional experience in finance within an international organization Strong controlling and accounting capabilities Familiarity with SAP ERP FI & CO modules is advantageous Proficiency in English is essential, with French or Dutch language skills also required for this positionDesired Competencies
Experience in a multinational environment, with a strong focus on stakeholder management Solid finance and accounting knowledge, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Adaptable mindset, comfortable with managing and implementing change Self-motivated, accountable, and a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills You will ensure the accuracy of financial data and maintain comprehensive records of revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities Additionally, you will ensure compliance with local accounting standards and oversee external reporting such as VAT, Intrastat, and statistics, in accordance with current regulations and internal guidelines A key aspect of your role will be to advise the business on accounting practices and provide constructive challenges where necessary, acting as a central figure in financial operations What We Offer
