Footwear Quality Assurance Specialist

For our Quality Management division, we are seeking a:

Quality Footwear Technician (f/m/d) for Premium Products

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our expert team to ensure that our Premium Product Collections are ready for production. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee processes that guarantee developed products align with the quality standards of the Birkenstock brand. You will identify potential production challenges during the engineering and commercialization phases, offering technical solutions and guidance to enhance product setup for mass production, while working alongside production sites to define product quality benchmarks and effective process management. Additionally, you will perform product risk assessments and assurance testing to detect and communicate potential issues internally, ensuring they are addressed prior to the final approval of samples. Your support will extend to product management and development teams by pinpointing and conveying critical problem areas, thereby fostering enhanced standards. In this diverse role, you will engage in Production Engineering Serial Trials, pre-production evaluations, and production initiation, potentially demonstrating process operations to production personnel. Lastly, you will set clear protocols for box inspections and involve production QA support for Premium Product evaluations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience in a footwear manufacturing environment, encompassing both Product Development and Quality Technician positions. Expertise in resolving product assurance and quality issues across multiple factory locations. Proven ability and experience in assessing large-scale footwear production during both initial assessments and within a manufacturing context. Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, coupled with persuasive abilities. Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of objectives, while being methodical and solution-oriented. Willingness to travel frequently as required.
