Key Responsibilities

You will be integrated into our Carbon Capture Centre of Excellence, engaging in innovative projects aimed at promoting carbon-neutral energy and products for a sustainable tomorrow. Your role will involve addressing complex technical issues across various sectors, including energy-from-waste, cement, and chemicals, while collaborating closely with clients and fellow carbon capture specialists globally.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Tackling distinctive and intricate technical or business challenges for clients within the carbon capture domain.
  • Serving as a senior consultant (m/f/d) in this field and reinforcing the centre's reputation as a thought leader both internally and externally.
  • Overseeing engineering management, which encompasses planning, organizing, and coordinating resources and processes to meet project goals within established scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
  • Participating in business development activities as necessary.

Team Dynamics

We invite you to leverage your expertise as our new Carbon Capture Specialist (m/f/d). You will be pivotal in addressing complex technical challenges across various industries while collaborating with clients and other carbon capture specialists within our global Carbon Capture Centre of Excellence. Your colleagues in carbon capture are situated worldwide, including Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, Australia, Singapore, and the US. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the current state and the desired future of sustainable development in challenging sectors.

Candidate Profile

These include:

  • A PhD or MSc degree in a relevant scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience following the attainment of your latest degree.
  • Strong technical knowledge and professional experience in carbon capture methodologies.
  • Practical experience with energy and chemical modeling tools, such as Aspen, Promax, or Thermoflex.
  • Relevant experience with a carbon capture technology provider or engineering firm.
  • Engineering management experience in a comparable position.
  • Project management experience is a valuable addition.
  • Proficiency in navigating ambiguity, opportunities, and risks.
  • A customer-centric approach characterized by a self-sufficient, dependable, and organized work style.
  • Intercultural competence and international exposure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management and stakeholders.
