Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (m/w/d) for Package Units, Static & Rotating Equipment - Energy Transition

Your Role:
- In this position, you will be responsible for engaging and complex projects in industrial plant construction.
- You will independently manage and coordinate the mechanical engineering department (Package Units, Static & Rotating Equipment) in close collaboration with other project disciplines.
- You will accompany our projects from the early phases of conceptual planning and feasibility analysis to the commissioning of the constructed facilities.
- You will support our multidisciplinary project teams in developing proposals and calculations, creating plant construction concepts, and coordinating project teams throughout all planning phases.
- Additionally, you will prepare technical and inquiry specifications for containers, heat exchangers, columns, pumps, and machines, as well as complete package units, and contribute to the design of equipment for plants and processes.
- Your responsibilities will also include creating inquiry documents and evaluating offers, conducting technical procurement negotiations, expediting, and performing partial and final acceptance of apparatus, machines, and package units.
- As our projects are executed both in Germany and across Europe, you will maintain regular contact with international project teams and engage in professional exchanges.
Your Qualifications:
- You have successfully completed your engineering degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering or possess an equivalent qualification.
- Ideally, you have substantial professional experience in executing industrial plant construction projects and are accustomed to working in international project teams.
- You will impress us with your strong knowledge in mechanics; international project experience is desirable, as well as your excellent understanding of all project phases in plant planning and national and European standards/regulations.
- You are familiar with common planning tools for mechanics or process engineering and possess excellent MS Office skills.
- We expect strong communication skills and customer orientation for a proactive and sustainable support approach.
- Fluency in German at a native level (minimum C2) is essential, along with advanced English skills (minimum C1).
