Trimble is a leading technology company that specializes in providing advanced solutions for positioning, mapping, and navigation. We are seeking a highly skilled GNSS/INS Navigation Engineer to join our innovative multi-sensor team at our office in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance AINS technology, tightly-integrated with precise GNSS, to improve positioning accuracy and reliability.
  • Implement real-time algorithms in C++, test and verify.
  • Utilize Matlab and/or Python for data analysis, visualization, and algorithm development.
  • Support existing products by monitoring performance, identifying improvements, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, document problems, and communicate progress.
  • Contribute to IP protection efforts by documenting innovations and participating in patent filings.
  • Support multi-sensor research by developing prototypes and demonstrators.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Navigation, Aerospace, Robotics, Geodesy, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming and software development.
  • Experience in Matlab, Python or a comparable language.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to discuss complex technical topics in English.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a development team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced development environment with changing priorities.
Preferred Experience:
  • Background in any of the following: Inertial sensing, AINS, sensor fusion, precise GNSS, real-time algorithms, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with quality assurance and navigation system field applications.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar issue-tracking software.
