Your Future Role
As part of our international competence center for bogies, you will join a dedicated team in ensuring the stability and comfort of rail traffic. Reporting to [HIRING MANAGER], you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the performance of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will implement and execute the Serial Supplier Quality Assurance policy in collaboration with Procurement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day Non-Conformity issues.
- Billing suppliers for the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ S1).
- Ensuring timely and comprehensive supplier containment action plans to protect the manufacturing line.
- Challenging suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plans and ensuring responsiveness.
- Establishing and overseeing a Supplier improvement roadmap for underperforming suppliers, adhering to the Supplier Quality escalation process (Green/Yellow/Red status).
- Conducting supplier reviews and site visits as necessary.
- Performing inspections for low-critical parts not included in the Supplier Part List.
- Collaborating with SPQD, SQ Serial Engineers, and Incoming Inspectors to ensure Control Plans are defined and documented in the ERP system.
- Initiating special process inspections or external lab testing when required.
- Maintaining and publishing KPIs while identifying opportunities for performance enhancement.
- Managing Incoming Inspection team competencies through skills matrices and scheduling training as needed.
- Completing inspections within designated lead times and ensuring priority inspections are executed promptly.
- Overseeing Incoming Inspection activities when appointed as SQ Referent for the site.
Candidate Profile
We prioritize passion and attitude over experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will contribute to your success in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with supplier qualification standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.).
- Proficiency in English and German.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality or Production.
- Technical knowledge in a relevant field.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar applications and 8D Methodology.
- Collaborative, persuasive, and resilient approach.
