Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Decarbonization Technical Center (DTC) team at ADM. As a key member of our water practice, you will provide technical expertise and support to our operations teams to ensure the efficient and sustainable management of water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement solutions to address performance gaps or compliance requirements in water and wastewater operations.
  • Support and drive progress on sustainability program goals for reductions in water use.
  • Perform as a water/wastewater subject matter expert (SME) on capital project development and design review teams.
  • Generate process design, equipment specifications, automation and control narratives, and other elements of solution designs for water/wastewater systems.
  • Research and promote new technologies that improve efficiency and increase optimization.
  • Support troubleshooting, evaluate system/equipment failures, and collaborate to determine root cause.
  • Perform field work, facilitating and advising internal company and contracted personnel.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple fields and different levels of management.
  • Provide technical support and training to others when necessary.
  • Provide updates and documentation for Front End Loading (FEL) process.
  • Generate and deliver best practice guidelines as well as plant-specific SOPs when needed for water and wastewater systems.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Process, or Environmental engineering).
  • Good experience in water/wastewater engineering and operations.
  • Good experience in project management.
  • Experience with capital planning and Front-End-Loading procedures, environmental management, and continuous improvement is a plus.
  • A proven ability in statistical and analytical thinking.
  • Able to employ independent judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Committed to working safely and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Able to communicate in English to a business level and additional European language skills (particularly German, French, and Dutch) would be an advantage.
