Database Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Automation Engineer to join our international team at Kuehne + Nagel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for automating day-to-day operations within our highly standardized database environment.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and implement scripts and workflows to automate recurring administrative tasks such as creating, deleting, and patching databases, creating and deleting users, performing database switchovers, and database upgrades.
- Design and develop self-service solutions for internal customers to independently perform database operation tasks.
- Analyze and optimize existing self-service solutions, workflows, and scripts to ensure their stability and efficiency.
- Create and maintain documentation for the developed automation solutions and self-service processes.
- Proficient knowledge of JavaScript and/or PowerShell, with a basic understanding of databases in general and PostgreSQL in detail.
- Experience with Ansible and AWX.
- Desirable tech stack includes Terraform, Jenkins, Java, Groovy, Perl, VMWare Orchestrator, and GIT.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizing automation solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently solve issues and meet deadlines.
- Ability to cooperate and effectively collaborate within the team, across teams, and with global teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English language skills, both written and verbal.
