Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as an Ambulatory Intensive Care Nurse. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children who require intensive care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to children who require intensive care services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering oxygen therapy, and conducting vital sign checks.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of ambulatory intensive care.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric intensive care nursing, with a focus on ambulatory care.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric intensive care principles, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
