Job Description

ADM is seeking a highly skilled Regional Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Decarbonization Technical Center (DTC) team. As a key member of our water practice, you will work closely with ADM Operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, develop operational and technology solutions to address performance gaps or compliance needs, support capital planning and project delivery, and drive progress on Sustainability program goals for reductions in water use.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement solutions to correct deficiencies or address compliance requirements.
  • Support and drive progress on Sustainability program goals for reductions in water use.
  • Perform as water/wastewater SME as part of a capital project development and design review team.
  • Generate process design, equipment specifications, automation and control narratives, and other elements of solution designs for water/wastewater systems.
  • Research and promote new technologies that improve efficiency and increase optimization.
  • Support troubleshooting, evaluate system/equipment failures and collaborate to determine root cause.
  • Perform field work facilitating and advising internal company and contracted personnel.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple fields and different levels of management.
  • Provide technical support and training to others when necessary.
  • Provide updates and documentation for Front End Loading (FEL) process.
  • Generate and deliver best practice guidelines as well as plant-specific SOPs when needed for water and wastewater systems.
Your Profile
  • Education to degree level in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Process or Environmental engineering).
  • Good experience in water/wastewater engineering and operations.
  • Good experience in project management.
  • Experience with capital planning and Front-End-Loading procedures, environmental management and continuous improvement is a plus.
  • A proven ability in statistical and analytical thinking.
  • Able to employ independent judgement and strong problem solving skills.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Committed to working safely and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge on MS Office.
  • Able to communicate in English to a business level and additional European language skills (particularly German, French and Dutch) would be an advantage.
