We are seeking a Safety and Compliance Specialist to enhance our team.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing health and safety measures across our operations. You will ensure adherence to the latest regulations and contribute significantly to the development and execution of our health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating, executing, and sustaining health and safety policies and procedures in alignment with local, national, and international standards.
- Support initiatives to ensure comprehensive understanding and application of ISO 45001 certification standards.
- Conduct routine risk evaluations and audits to pinpoint potential dangers and propose corrective measures.
- Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace incidents, contributing to strategies aimed at preventing future occurrences.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
- Foster a culture of safety and ongoing improvement within the organization.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure the company remains informed about current health and safety legislation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety laws, ensuring compliance with these regulations.
- Assist in preparing and delivering reports on health and safety performance to senior management.
- Support the coordination of health and safety operational activities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Some experience in a health and safety capacity, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
- Proficiency in both English and German is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.
Desirable:
- Basic understanding of ISO 45001 certification standards is highly beneficial.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to assist in thorough investigations and produce detailed reports.
