Job Title: Quality Engineer

West Pharmaceutical Services is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Stolberg, Germany. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems in the German Toolshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management systems in the German Toolshop, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Support the site as an expert in all quality processes, providing guidance and training to technical staff.
  • Plan and coordinate projects for continuous quality and process improvement, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Establish, maintain, and further develop test equipment monitoring and calibration systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Create suitable infrastructures for data trending and data analysis, providing insights for process improvements.
  • Plan the processing and implementation of customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the implementation/introduction of new innovative processes and technologies, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Help drive site and departmental targets/KPIs in improving the cost of non-conforming quality, ensuring continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Successfully completed engineering studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, measurement and control technology, physics, or similar qualification.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical environment or in toolmaking.
  • Experience with the creation of regulations (SOPs) and good knowledge of statistics, measurement data processing, and understanding of technical drawings.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and statistical tools, e.g., Minitab, as well as good knowledge of SAP.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Further training in Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) is desirable.
  • Customer-oriented thinking and acting, as well as high quality awareness.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, a structured, goal-oriented, and efficient working style, as well as a hands-on mentality.
  • Conscientiousness, reliability, and a sense of responsibility.
