Position: IT Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and develop detailed specifications for both on-premises and cloud-based IT solutions.
  • Design and maintain intricate testing and integration environments, working closely with internal teams and external systems within the broadcast industry.
  • Oversee the commissioning, configuration, and integration of RESTful APIs with third-party platforms, including Active Directory and Content Delivery Networks.
  • Provide advanced support for Media Asset Management Systems, including troubleshooting, software updates, and configuration adjustments.
  • Analyze system errors and customer-reported issues, maintaining comprehensive support documentation and assisting in the training of operational staff.
  • Engage in the continuous enhancement of project implementation and support methodologies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in the installation and support of Media IT and Media Asset Management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of technologies, devices, and workflows prevalent in the broadcast and media sectors.
  • Strong understanding of video and audio codecs and their manipulation.
  • Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript) or programming languages such as Java, Perl, or C#.
  • Experience with Linux server administration, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, search indexing, and database management.
