Your Responsibilities:
  • As an IT specialist, you will manage firewalls, switch, and WLAN infrastructures, handle operational tasks at main and remote locations, and lead migration projects to modernize network structures.
  • Plan and execute firmware upgrades within designated maintenance windows.
  • Conduct daily analysis of firewall logs to identify necessary actions regarding functionality and security.
  • Independently create configuration proposals for firewall rule sets and security profiles, including AntiVirus, Application Control, IPS, SSL Inspection, Web Filtering, and Web Application Firewall.
  • Coordinate and implement IPsec VPN tunnels for site connectivity as needed.
  • Promote the advancement and modernization of WLAN networks, including authentication mechanisms.
  • Plan and implement new IP subnets/VLANs as required, including all related coordination and configurations.
  • Support the implementation of network requirements for server services and server/cloud applications.
  • Manage virtual networks (VNETs) in Microsoft Azure.
  • Provide 2nd-level support for IT colleagues from other departments.
  • Request, issue, and install SSL server certificates on network and server systems.
  • Coordinate, execute, and document IT network projects.
  • Contribute to the SOC project.
Your Qualifications:
  • At least five years of experience as a Cybersecurity Network Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Excellent networking knowledge (OSI model, static routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, IPsec VPN, Spanning Tree, LLDP), ideally with certification proof (e.g., CCNA).
  • Experience with network security features of leading next-gen firewall systems.
  • Knowledge of PKI fundamentals (CSRs, client and server certificates, certificate authority certificates) and the ability to manage certificates.
  • Strong affinity for IT and cloud solutions, with regular updates on new (security) features and their evaluation.
  • Preferably experience with Fortinet products and basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Networking (VNETs, Route Tables, Azure Router).
  • Very good German and adequate English skills in the IT field.
  • Analytical thinking, structured and solution-oriented work style, and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills, willingness to share knowledge, document, and present complex technical content understandably.
  • Flexibility and openness to work in a dynamic environment.
