Food Service Associate

Fotografiska Berlin GmbH is seeking a skilled Food Runner to join our team at Verönika Restaurant & Bar. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our food is delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver food from the kitchen to the table, ensuring that it is served promptly and with a smile.
- Set up and maintain the service stations, ensuring that they are clean and well-stocked.
- Follow the Sequence of Service set by the Verönika leadership team, ensuring that our guests receive a seamless dining experience.
- Provide our guests with in-depth knowledge of our menus and ensure that the quality of all food delivered consistently meets our high standards.
- Take instructions from the Chef de Cuisine, Restaurant Manager, or Captain and dispense the appropriate food for the table.
- Consistently follow our procedures and protocols to ensure that our guests receive exceptional service.
- Thoroughly know our coffee and tea menus and be able to explain them to guests in an engaging and attentive manner.
- Provide impeccable customer service by promptly responding to our guests' needs and constantly soliciting feedback to improve our service.
- Assist in restocking and maintaining stations and clearing tables in accordance with our standards.
- Respond promptly and deal with any spills or breakages, reporting any service issues to the Captain or Restaurant Manager.
- Efficiently carry out all pre and post-service procedures, ensuring that everything is put away and cleaned, and passing appropriate utensils to kitchen porters.
- Ongoing participation in scheduled team training to ensure detailed product knowledge, growth, and professionalism.
- 2+ years of experience as a Food Runner or in a similar role in the upscale hospitality industry, Food + Beverage.
- Fluency in German and English is an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
- Decisive, takes ownership for implementing actions, thinks ahead, and develops contingency plans.
- Motivated and dedicated, approach all tasks with enthusiasm and take opportunities to acquire new skills and knowledge to improve performance.
