Cyber Security Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

TÜV SÜD Limited, a prominent global technical service provider, is in search of a highly proficient Cyber Security Auditor to enhance our operations in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the security and integrity of our clients' digital environments, with a strong emphasis on adherence to the EN 62443 series and ISO 27001 standards. Familiarity with OG86 is also advantageous.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Contribute to the formulation of cyber security strategies that align with industry best practices, focusing primarily on the EN 62443 series and ISO 27001 standards.

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' current cyber security protocols to identify vulnerabilities and risks. Assess compliance with EN 62443 and ISO 27001 requirements and offer actionable recommendations for enhancement.

- Execute regular audits to evaluate the effectiveness of cyber security controls and procedures. Identify weaknesses and suggest appropriate remediation strategies to strengthen security posture.

- Develop and implement robust incident response plans to tackle potential cyber security incidents. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to swiftly detect, respond to, and mitigate cyber threats.

- Deliver training and awareness sessions to clients and internal stakeholders to promote best practices in cyber security and ensure compliance with EN 62443 and ISO 27001 standards.

- Support the technical development of software validation and certification services for both industrial and consumer applications.

- Work alongside cross-functional teams to assess secure architectures and infrastructure solutions. Evaluate the suitability of emerging technologies and recommend appropriate security controls for their integration.

- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to uncover weaknesses in systems and applications. Provide guidance on remediation measures and assist in the implementation of security patches and upgrades.

- Help maintain accurate documentation of cyber security processes, procedures, and controls. Generate detailed reports on assessment findings, audits, and security incidents for management and clients.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

- A degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- Professional experience in cyber security, particularly with a focus on EN 62443 and ISO 27001.

- Demonstrated success in implementing cyber security strategies and driving compliance initiatives.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the EN 62443 series and ISO 27001 standards.

- Familiarity with prevalent cyber security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Controls.

- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.

- Experience with security testing tools, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment methodologies.

- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and security audits.

- Ability to analyze complex security challenges, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.

- Practical understanding and demonstrated experience in software development.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with clients.

- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, and confidentiality while managing sensitive information and client data.

Desirable Criteria:

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly regarded.
