Position Overview:
The role of the Joint Exercise Program Support Specialist is pivotal in guiding and assisting governmental leaders in the formulation and execution of the EUCOM Joint Exercise Program. This position encompasses support for the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events, delivering specialized assistance across various domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the execution of exercises in specialized domains aligned with warfighting functions.
- Engage collaboratively with EUCOM J7 to provide customized support throughout Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events.
- Leverage military expertise and technical acumen to aid in the development and enhancement of war and contingency plans.
- Deliver specialized knowledge in warfighting functions to improve exercise initiatives and staff training.
- Provide technical services for assessments, analyses, and operational design.
- Render analytical and technical support for joint and combined training activities.
- Assist in the organization of planning conferences, scenario creation, joint simulations, and after-action evaluations.
- Support multinational collaboration efforts with various Department of Defense and non-Department of Defense entities.
- Utilize the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) for effective data management.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organizational mission, functions, and command relationships.
- Evaluate and review directives and existing procedures to ensure organizational alignment.
- Complete administrative responsibilities related to Joint Doctrine and Procedures.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or completion of an advanced military officer-training program (preferred).
- A minimum of ten years of experience with the US Department of Defense in various sectors, including operations, logistics, intelligence, and strategy.
- A minimum of three years of Joint experience (EUCOM preferred) or NATO experience.
