Lead Network Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Network Architect to join our IT Team at Uniper SE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the conceptual architecture and strategy for IT Connectivity Services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive network strategy that aligns with industry trends and Uniper's business needs.
- Lead the design and implementation of LAN/WAN/WLAN solutions in a complex, cross-border environment.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that Uniper's strategic goals are met in terms of time, cost, and quality.
- Manage a team of international technical architects and third-party partners to deliver high-quality network solutions.
- Develop and maintain 24x7 operational support processes with third-party partners to ensure global business requirements are met.
- Ensure sustainable program and project success through adherence to architectural frameworks and quality commitments.
- Develop and initiate group-wide infrastructure initiatives with Uniper's service providers to meet strategic goals.
- Act as a leader to establish improved practices within the Uniper IT architecture community.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the IT industry and research relevant current and future technologies.
- Extensive experience in strategic development, design, and management of LAN/WAN/WLAN solutions in a complex, cross-border environment.
- Hands-on engineering experience with Microsoft Azure network components.
- Ability to lead a technical team in the E2E design of network solutions and troubleshooting of issues in the deployed network.
- Experience in designing corporate MPLS, SD-WAN, and Internet-based networks provided by global carriers.
- Experience within a SASE environment with an excellent understanding of Zero Trust Network Access.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical details in non-technical terms.
- Considerable team management/leadership experience and highly developed leadership competence.
- Extensive experience of managing change in a cross-border situation.
- Highly developed customer and service orientation.
- Advanced analytical and conceptual skills.
- Extensive experience of senior stakeholder management within a change environment.
- Strong initiative and willingness to change.
- Highly developed team orientation, persuasive power, and ability to cooperate.
- Highly self-dependent, result-oriented way of work.
- Willingness to regularly travel nationally and internationally.
- Extensive experience of managing third parties, preferably gained in an outsourced IT environment.
- Architecture (TOGAF9) certified or actively working towards certification.
- ITIL certification.
- Excellent knowledge of the energy business.
- Cisco Certified Architect or Juniper JNCDS-WAN.
