Cybersecurity Application Specialist

Are you enthusiastic about cybersecurity and ready to immerse yourself in secure software development? We are seeking a skilled professional to strengthen our team. Your knowledge will be vital in establishing secure practices and protecting our software from potential threats.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing and enhancing policies to set standards throughout our secure development lifecycle. Organizing and leading workshops to improve our development teams' skills in application security. Collaborating with teams to coordinate external penetration tests, analyze findings, recommend solutions, and centralize vulnerability management. Focusing on Java to ensure our codebase is resilient against security threats. Acting as a consultant for product and development teams, assisting in threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability management. Supporting and improving our bug bounty programs. Innovating and automating tools and processes to proactively address security challenges.What you bring:
Strong ability to collaborate with software development teams. Experience in identifying security vulnerabilities, particularly in Java. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex topics. Familiarity with security libraries and tools (such as static analysis and penetration testing tools). Understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and remediation strategies. Practical development or scripting experience, ideally with a focus on DevSecOps. A solid understanding of network and web protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS). Experience with frameworks like OWASP ASVS, OWASP SAMM, and OWASP DSOMM. Background in establishing security champions programs and implementing secure software development lifecycles.What you can expect from CompuGroup Medical:
