About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at FRANKA EMIKA GmbH. As an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design electrical hardware for robotic systems, including schematic design and PCB layout.
  • Bridge the Gap: Bridge the gap between sensor development, motor control, and robot software architectures.
  • Prototype Assembly: Assemble mechatronic prototypes for robotic systems.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Evaluate the design by measurements and extensive testing in a professional lab.
  • Technical Expertise: Learn and excel in electronic hardware development on a unique technology stack enabling safe human-robot interaction.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in electrical engineering or similar (Bachelor/Master/Diploma).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design, including schematic design and PCB layout.
  • Technical Skills: Solid experience in the use of ECAD tools (preferably Altium Designer), strong analytical skills, and technical know-how in at least 2 of the following areas: power electronics, BLDC drivers, communication interfaces, sensor systems, and analog/digital conversion.
  • Soft Skills: Skills in soldering and assembly of electronics, high personal standard of performance, drive for result, passion for developing innovative solutions, and strong communication skills in English (German is optional).
