Lead Structural Engineer for Offshore Wind Projects

As a Lead Structural Engineer for Offshore Wind Projects, you will join our Offshore Wind Engineering department, collaborating with a team of skilled engineers dedicated to advanced design techniques in steel and composite materials. You will be responsible for your own design deliverables, utilizing an analytical mindset and structural expertise to develop innovative solutions that enhance our service delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary project team on international projects of varying complexity, focusing on large steel foundation structures for offshore wind turbines.
- Deliver secondary steel design work packages for Concept Design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Designs, working closely with secondary steel engineers and other relevant disciplines.
- Oversee the work of secondary steel engineers and CAD technicians to ensure high-quality design and documentation of secondary structural components.
- Coordinate design efforts with the Project/Design Manager and other Lead Engineers in international teams.
- Present design methodologies and outcomes at client and certifying agent meetings throughout the design and certification processes.
- Conduct analyses and optimizations of structural designs, identifying key design drivers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements throughout the structure's lifecycle.
- Perform Quality Assurance on design and simulation models, as well as project documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers in effective design methods and processes.
- Contribute to the technical development of secondary steel design within the company.
Your Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on steel structure design.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the design and construction of steel structures, preferably in offshore wind.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and design standards.
- Proficient in 3D CAD and structural modeling.
- Experience in coordinating designs with various disciplines and stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize multiple engineering tasks.
- Motivated to learn and grow within a skilled international team.
- Demonstrated integrity and team spirit, with a proactive approach to collaboration.
