HZI Steinmüller GmbH in Gummersbach combines comprehensive project management, engineering, procurement, and installation planning capacities. This team handles complex projects and renovations with extensive experience as part of the Systems- and Service Solutions Business Unit.
Your Role: Structural Engineer for Boiler Construction
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity of our boiler construction projects. You will be responsible for creating and reviewing static calculations for engineering structures and boiler components, examining technical drawings and planning documents, and collaborating with project stakeholders.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural calculations for engineering structures and buildings.
- Review structural planning documents, including steel construction designs.
- Analyze technical drawings for boiler components to ensure structural soundness.
- Generate static calculations for detailed designs in steel and boiler construction.
- Provide static support to boiler construction designers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with project engineers, leaders in production, and installation teams.
- Participate actively in technical meetings during project discussions, client meetings, and tenders.
- Conduct static checks of facilities during installation and operation phases.
- Monitor the structural services provided by external engineering firms to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing static calculations within the field of structural engineering.
- Proficiency in relevant calculation software such as RFEM, RSTAB, and Tekla.
- Basic knowledge of steel and sheet metal construction is highly desirable.
- Fluent German language skills with good English proficiency.
- Strong understanding of static calculation methods (FEM, truss analysis, possibly pipe statics).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to construction sites and manufacturing facilities.
