Job Overview:

This role is part of Aerostack GmbH, a collaboration between Airbus and an automotive company, aimed at advancing Zero Emission Aircraft technology.

We are looking for an Aerospace Qualification Specialist (d/f/m) to join our team in Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Homologation and will be a key member of the Aerostack Verification & Validation team, focusing on ensuring the flight worthiness of Aerostack fuel cell stacks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Airbus safety and airworthiness teams, as well as certification authorities, to develop a certification framework for fuel cell technology.
  • Collaborate with Airbus to define the Means-of-Compliances for qualification-related requirements.
  • Lead qualification activities related to flight safety and serial applications, ensuring the integration of Means of Compliance within the overall Verification & Validation processes.
  • Facilitate the Statement of Conformity in partnership with Airbus.
  • Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations and Airbus qualification standards (e.g., DO160, ASR, ABD0100) in close collaboration with the responsible Airbus system design engineer.
  • Break down regulations into specific requirements at the stack level.
  • Define Means of Validation & Verification based on qualification requirements set by Airbus.
  • Verify the validity of compliance statements and demonstrations.
  • Ensure compliance of utilized tools and processes.
  • Oversee documentation and archiving processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in System Design & Development in line with qualification requirements.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Verification & Validation, qualification, and certification activities.
  • Familiarity with requirements management processes and tools (e.g., DOORS).
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and French is advantageous.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on simplicity.
  • Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
