**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Alstom in Kassel, Germany. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our railway equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on railway equipment, including locomotives and rolling stock
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify and diagnose issues with equipment
  • Carry out repairs and replacements of parts and components as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Document all work performed, including maintenance records and repair reports
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, such as railway maintenance or mechanical engineering
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications, such as a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, with a willingness to travel to different locations as needed
