About the Role

AWS EMEA SARL (Germany Branch) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the adoption of container workloads in Germany and Europe Central. As a Container Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales programs, and identifying new customers and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for container workloads, collaborating with AWS stakeholders and partners.
  • Lead and coordinate sales, marketing, and partner efforts to win and communicate with lighthouse customers.
  • Enable the field organization to drive day-to-day interactions that identify prospects for long-term business opportunities.
  • Work with the AWS Partner team to build an ecosystem of partners that can deliver solutions and ensure partner readiness.
  • Synthesize data and information gathered from customer and partner engagements into succinct findings, derive strategic insights, and persuasively communicate findings and perspectives to product and sales teams.
A Day in the Life

A typical working week for a Container Sales Specialist will involve creating a go-to-market plan, implementing and iterating on the plan, driving pipeline closure, defining and implementing pipeline creation activities, enabling internal and external stakeholders, and increasing market awareness on AWS container services.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience with container services, micro-services, and DevOps practices.
  • 5+ years' experience growing adoption and utilization for container orchestration tools or platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for building rapport with customers and influencing other teams within AWS and partners.
  • Technical and/or business degree required.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is required for customer interactions, internal communication, and collaboration with worldwide teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in Business German language is highly desired.
  • Technical experience and knowledge around cloud-native applications with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to articulate the value of leveraging containers and managed container orchestration offerings.
  • 10+ years in customer-facing roles involving infrastructure or cloud technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to emerging technologies and learn quickly.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix organization (leveraging multiple functions and teams).
