Java Developer for Email Platform

Job Title: Java / Spring Boot Developer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a skilled Java developer to join our team at 1&1 Mail & Media. As a key member of our Mail Transfer Development department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Spring Boot based Microservices and deploying them on our in-house Kubernetes clusters.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new features for automated email processing
  • Collaborate with QA, spam experts, architects, and operating teams to ensure high-quality software development
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and participate in internal and external conferences
  • Develop architecture spikes and proofs of concepts for high-risk systems
  • Evaluate new technologies and contribute ideas with your individual expertise
Your Profile

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Java developer who is passionate about software development and has a strong background in object-oriented programming. You should have sound knowledge in web technologies such as JSON or RESTful HTTP and experience with Spring Boot, NOSQL and SQL databases, Microservices, containerized applications, and Kubernetes.

  • Strong knowledge of Java and web technologies
  • Experience with Spring Boot, NOSQL and SQL databases, Microservices, containerized applications, and Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of automated software quality assurance (Unit Testing, Performance Tests, Acceptance Tests)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good English skills are necessary, German is a plus
