Overview

We are seeking a "Quality Assurance Specialist for Aerospace Initiatives (m/f/d)" to join our "Product and Project Quality Engineering" division at our facility in Ulm.

The "Product and Project Quality Engineering" division oversees programs related to Electronic Warfare, Aerospace Systems, and Radar technologies, along with the corresponding development, sales, and logistics sectors. Our mission is to ensure that processes are implemented effectively and with minimal risk throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to contractual obligations while efficiently completing essential quality tasks. Quality specialists collaborate closely with adjacent departments, project leaders, and product directors, becoming involved at the onset of the planning phase.

Responsibilities

Strategizing and executing all quality assurance activities throughout the entire project/product lifecycle Ensuring adherence to processes while considering contractual obligations and project-specific quality assurance tasks Serving as the primary contact for all quality assurance matters (both internal and external) within the project core team Developing project-specific quality assurance documentation, such as the Software Quality Assurance plan Engaging in the validation process of software products Verifying product compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards Overseeing the implementation of quality assurance measures and methodologies Reporting on quality-related issues, incidents, and key metrics to both internal and external stakeholders

Willingness to travel for business purposes is essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Extensive experience in software development Familiarity with agile development methodologies and their practical application Proficiency in software testing techniques (unit testing, black box testing) Understanding of requirements engineering Knowledge of software development standards is a plus (ISO 12207, RTCA/DO-278) Familiarity with risk management techniques and their application is advantageous Strong commitment to quality and efficient processes Ability and eagerness to independently explore unfamiliar topics and relevant standards Team-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and consensus-building abilities Proficient in German and highly competent in English
