Director of Global Service Operations

Your Role:

  • Oversee and enhance the execution of global service functions (including installations, spare parts solutions, and repairs) for our optical metrology division across Europe, APAC, and North America, as a key member of the Strategic Business Unit's leadership team.
  • Develop service into a sustainable business model with a strong emphasis on lifecycle management and revenue enhancement (for instance, securing service agreements for predictive maintenance and calibration services).
  • Lead and cultivate global teams focused on customer engagement, field service, and remote assistance.
  • Facilitate the adoption of streamlined processes within the service team and across functional boundaries.
  • Ensure comprehensive incident reviews are performed to keep stakeholders updated and to inform ongoing service enhancements.
  • Standardize service training resources, toolkits, technical documentation, and status monitoring on a global scale.

Your Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in service delivery within a technical setting (such as mechanical engineering).
  • A degree in a technical field or business administration.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • A solid grasp of financial metrics, including cost management, budget development, resource forecasting, and revenue generation.
  • Fluency in English.
