Senior Simulation and Modeling Engineer

Overview of the Position
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the development and enhancement of device models for SiC MOSFETs and diodes, alongside power system models. You will assist clients with simulations to maximize the capabilities of our SiC devices within their applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and refine SPICE device models for SiC MOSFETs and diodes to accurately simulate device behavior.
- Develop and enhance thermal models based on PLECS for SiC MOSFETs and diodes in power system simulations.
- Provide support for customer design integration with precise simulations to effectively utilize our SiC power devices.
- Formulate and optimize processes for model creation and validation.
- Assist in product development and definition with simulation insights.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, service partners, and academic institutions.
- Prepare demonstration simulations to showcase the advantages of our products and present these to key clients.
- Engage in a diverse, multicultural team with a global presence.
Candidate Profile:
- Advanced degree (PhD/M.Sc.) in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in modeling and simulation for power electronics, based on educational background.
- Strong proficiency in LTSPICE, SiMETRIX/SIMPLIS, Keysight ADS, and PLECS or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Matlab.
- Knowledge of Python and Verilog-A.
- Experience with 3D FEM simulations is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of power electronics principles, topologies, and SiC device physics.
- Awareness of parasitic circuit elements and their effects on device performance.
- Practical experience in using test equipment for laboratory measurements.
- Proficiency in English; conversational German is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support strategic clients.
