Position Overview
As a Conference Coordinator at Copernicus GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating scientific gatherings across Europe, engaging with a diverse range of participants from around the globe. - Assist abstract authors, session organizers, and program committee members throughout the year-long preparation for our conferences.
- Provide email and telephone support to stakeholders utilizing our custom-built online tools for the intricate organization of conference programs.
- Collaborate with and coordinate our technical suppliers, including audiovisual, IT, signage, exhibition setups, and catering services.
- Manage on-site operations during conferences, which may involve 2-3 business trips lasting one week each, as well as 1-2 shorter trips of 2-3 days within Europe annually.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, at an advanced level.
- Skilled in handling challenging customer interactions with professionalism.
- Able to thrive under pressure, particularly during critical deadlines or events.
- Enjoys engaging with individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel and navigate unfamiliar environments.
