Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Wolt, a leading technology company in the food delivery industry. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our couriers in Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review payroll data, including master and transaction data, to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and tax regulations.
- Process registrations and certifications, as well as communicate with health insurance providers, social security agencies, and tax offices.
- Process electronic incapacity to work certificates and prepare various reports for payroll validation.
- Verify and analyze test payrolls to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Handle special topics such as garnishments, parental leave, and other payroll-related matters.
- Continuously optimize and improve internal processes to ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations.
Requirements
- Completed commercial training, preferably with additional qualifications in payroll accounting.
- Strong knowledge of tax and social security laws.
- Excellent skills in Excel, including V-lookup and Pivot.
- Proficiency in German and English (at least C1 in German and B1 in English).
- Familiarity with payroll accounting software, such as Datev LODAS, and personnel systems.
- High level of service orientation and structured work approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate using digital tools.
- Eligibility to work in the EU.
