Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Chief of Independent Monitoring System (f/m/d) within the Regulatory Affairs & Aviation Excellence division at our Ulm location.The Regulatory Affairs & Aviation Excellence division is tasked with ensuring that aeronautical operations adhere to applicable EU aviation regulations and military standards.
In this role, the Chief of Independent Monitoring System (IMF) will operate autonomously, reporting directly to the Head of Design Organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison for aviation authorities regarding operational licenses and development assurance frameworks. Assist in approval processes and procedural enhancements as a development entity in relation to aviation authorities. Guarantee ongoing compliance and effectiveness of the company's design assurance framework with relevant regulations. Oversee that organizational responsibilities are fulfilled appropriately. Collaborate actively with manufacturing and maintenance entities both within and outside the organization. Ensure proper oversight of subcontractor organizations. Supervise personnel engaged in design and airworthiness roles, focusing on their qualifications, experience, and training.Qualifications
Completed degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in development and quality management or development assurance. In-depth knowledge and experience with civil aviation regulations as per EASA and EMAR/DEMAR standards. Proven track record in interactions with civil and military aviation authorities (LBA, EASA, LufABw). Comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of relevant aviation standards (EN 9100, AQAP-2310). Familiarity with DO-178, DO-160, and DO-254 standards. Auditor certification in aviation. Strong diplomatic skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in both German and English.Additional Benefits
