Main ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Technician is responsible for planning and laying out the routing, placement, type, size, balance, load, continuity, and proper operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment, and control instruments. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of trade practices, the ability to interpret building plans, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings, as well as the application of formulas related to voltage and resistance.
Key tasks include:
- Installing, modifying, and repairing distribution panels, boxes, fixtures, apparatus, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical devices.
- Utilizing a variety of trade tools such as test meters, test lamps, voltmeters, wattmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Assisting in large-scale repair work as needed.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Completion of vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade or 5 years of specialized experience.
- For higher levels, completion of vocational training in the appropriate trade plus 2 years of experience at a comparable level of difficulty, or 8 years of specialized experience with 3 years at the required level.
- Possession of a valid driver's license class B.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 20 kg.
- Language proficiency: English Level A1 and German Level B1 required.
This position is temporary and full-time, with a standard workweek. Applicants must be willing and able to perform on-call duty.
