Become a part of our team as an Agricultural Technician (m/f/d) specializing in Hybrid Rye Development at KWS LOCHOW GmbH.

We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about plant science to enhance our team. If you possess expertise in breeding techniques, selection processes, or plant cultivation, this role may be an excellent fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute crossing and conversion initiatives within the greenhouse environment
  • Conduct performance assessments of various plant lines
  • Collect and interpret experimental data
  • Coordinate plant and seed exchanges with collaborating teams
  • Document findings and methodologies for quality assurance
  • Offer support and direction to temporary staff
  • Assist other departments in hybrid rye breeding projects as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in agricultural sciences or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in breeding and selection methodologies
  • Competence in MS Office applications and possession of a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in both German and English languages
  • Willingness to travel seasonally (up to 10%)
