Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Purchaser (m/f/d) to join our team in a key role in managing complex international and national procurement processes within the Supply Chain Management/Logistics projects at Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze SE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex international and national procurement processes in Supply Chain Management/Logistics projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Source and purchase logistic services and equipment, evaluating offers and negotiating contracts globally in multiple languages.
  • Prepare and present results for decision-making, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement markets, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production plants and cross-functional teams, to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Support production plants in procurement matters, providing expertise and guidance to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in special projects, driving process improvements and implementing best practices across the organization.
Requirements
  • Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or Business Administration, with a strong foundation in supply chain management and procurement.
  • Extensive experience in global procurement in the automotive industry, with a proven track record of success in managing complex procurement processes.
  • Project management and international collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
