Risk Management Specialist, Mid Cap Investment Fund

About the Organization

Our organization is a prominent mid cap investment fund dedicated to acquiring stakes in medium-sized enterprises within the DACH region. We are currently seeking a Risk Management Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will be tasked with identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to safeguard the fund's interests and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and well-established firm. Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of regulatory mandates for risk management and information security
  • Assumption of the information risk management role in line with KAIT
  • Continuous evaluation and oversight of existing and emerging risks
  • Assessment of risk capacity and capital obligations in accordance with KAGB
  • Preparation of periodic reports detailing the risks associated with the AIFs and the organization
  • Conducting the annual risk assessment
  • Updating policies, risk frameworks, and related documentation
  • Collaboration with auditors and the internal audit team during review processes
  • Execution of projects, particularly those related to regulatory compliance
  • Taking on the role of (deputy) emergency officer for the organization
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in economics, (business) informatics, (business) law, or a related field
  • Extensive professional experience in risk management within a capital management firm, banking institution, securities company, or auditing practice
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory and supervisory frameworks for risk management (MaRisk/ KAMaRisk, BAIT/KAIT, DORA)
  • Experience in conceptual and project-oriented tasks
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a solid affinity for numerical data
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly
  • Interest in digitalization and IT-related topics
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly strong skills in PowerPoint and advanced Excel
  • Fluency in both German and English
