We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Administrator & Project Manager for Tech Services IT DACH.
As a well-established German entity located in Bamberg, Rupp + Hubrach Optik GmbH operates under the EssilorLuxottica umbrella. We are recognized as one of Germany's premier manufacturers of high-quality eyeglass lenses. Our success stems from a blend of innovation and a strong customer-centric approach, earning us numerous accolades. We continue to expand while preserving our traditional mid-sized company ethos, employing around 350 individuals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the IT infrastructure across administrative and manufacturing locations within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
Ensure the seamless operation of IT systems and deliver accurate results to meet business needs.
Administer, configure, and install DACH infrastructure in accordance with group standard policies, including:
- Servers, networks, telephony systems, printers, scanners, video conferencing, and workstations.
Manage the hardware and software lifecycle of DACH infrastructure, ensuring all equipment remains current.
Integrate information security and assurance policies into the operational environment.
Guarantee high availability of all on-site IT infrastructure.
Assist staff or clients through a series of steps, either in person or via phone, to set up systems or resolve issues.
Troubleshoot system and network issues, diagnosing and rectifying hardware or software faults, and replace components as necessary.
Prioritize and manage open cases within the ticketing system.
Support and participate in global infrastructure rollout projects to implement group IT standards.
Maintain servers, computers, and software inventories and licenses.
Lead and contribute to IT-related projects (local, regional, and corporate infrastructure projects) arising from central team and business requirements.
Coordinate and communicate all IT-related matters with internal and external stakeholders.
Support and deploy collaborative solutions (Microsoft platform, workstation policy, etc.) in alignment with corporate IT standards and compliance.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Server and Network Infrastructure.
- Proficient in Collaborative Solutions (preferably M365).
- At least 5 years of experience with end-user devices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in project work and preferably in leading small projects.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN, switches, and routers.
- Experience with telephony solutions, including IP phones (Cisco, 3CX).
- Understanding of cybersecurity tools.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
