We are on the lookout for passionate and committed individuals ready to step into the role of Laboratory Technician.

As part of the Smithers Group, founded in Akron, Ohio, in 1925, we specialize in both standard and customized testing for a diverse array of drug delivery devices, accessories, and packaging. Our mission is to ensure that products meet compliance standards and are suitable for use. As an independent testing laboratory, we possess extensive expertise in assisting clients with verification testing and processes. Our specialists are dedicated to developing and validating tailored tests to support regulatory submissions in both the EU and US.

Role Overview:

In the position of Laboratory Technician at Smithers MDT, you will become part of a distinguished team dedicated to supporting the innovative and expanding medical device and combination drug product sectors.

Your responsibilities will include aiding in product development, ensuring adherence to industry standards, assessing functional performance against defined design specifications, and conducting independent production batch conformance testing for our international clientele.

Key Duties:

  • Execute laboratory tests and experiments in accordance with established protocols
  • Manage multiple testing programs while delivering high-quality data punctually to Project Leaders
  • Maintain comprehensive records of assignments for project auditing purposes
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on significant projects
