Position Title: Sound, Audio & Voice Functions Developer

Position Overview:

IAV is at the forefront of developing audio signal processing technologies for next-generation infotainment systems, focusing on Sound, Audio & Voice Functions. This role involves enhancing and fine-tuning signal processing algorithms for various applications, including entertainment systems, emergency communication, telephony, and voice recognition for virtual assistants. As a working student, you will contribute to the advancement of voice control technologies in vehicles, while gaining valuable insights into the methodologies and tools utilized in the automotive audio sector.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the audio platform (both hardware and software)
  • Processing sound for the entertainment system
  • Performing acoustic measurements and analyzing results
  • Ensuring the integrity of signal flow
  • Optional: Development of interfaces between the audio system and development software (Python)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a program related to Sound Engineering, Media Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with professional audio equipment (e.g., recording studios or event technology)
  • Fundamental knowledge of audio processing systems (e.g., DAWs, Max/MSP)
  • Effective communication skills in either German or English
  • A passion for practical work, combined with a structured, independent, and goal-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming skills are a plus (preferably in Python)
