Vattenfall is a prominent European energy company dedicated to making fossil-free living a reality within one generation. Our Business Unit Solar & Batteries focuses on the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar photovoltaic installations.
We are currently seeking a Senior Solar PV Project Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize system designs for large-scale photovoltaic systems.
- Develop and enhance internal design tools for optimization.
- Create concept designs focusing on mechanical, civil, or electrical requirements for tender invitations.
- Act as the main project interface for all engineering aspects, collaborating closely with project teams and installation partners.
- Oversee the construction and commissioning process from an engineering perspective.
- Contribute to maintaining safety standards on construction sites.
Qualifications:
- Initial experience in the photovoltaic industry.
- In-depth knowledge of photovoltaic systems, with specialization in mechanical, civil, or electrical design.
- Familiarity with layout creation, design optimization, and relevant norms and standards.
- A Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, renewables engineering, or a related field.
- Strong command of English, both verbal and written; fluency in German is a plus.
- A collaborative spirit and a friendly attitude, enjoying cross-functional and diverse teamwork.
- A passion for renewable energy.
